In the realm of online dating, suspicions about fake profiles are not uncommon. Let's consider a couple of reasons why these impressions may arise.
Smart Messages
Our app features Smart Messages, enabling the automatic initiation of new conversations. This speeds up the process of connecting with potential matches, eliminating the need for manual conversation starts.
Smart Messages work in two steps:
- Based on your profile information, we select people who suit you best and send them intro messages.
- You decide whether to continue or end the conversation upon receiving their replies.
You can adjust Smart Messages in your profile settings, but consider keeping them active: our statistics show that many successful connections stem from these messages.
Incomplete, inactive, and duplicate profiles
New users might start online dating with incomplete profiles or no uploaded photos initially. Some users may forget they already registered, leading to duplicate profiles with different email addresses. Additionally, sporadic logins can create an impression of inactivity.
Internet-sourced pictures
Some users may use photos from the internet instead of their own. Our moderation team works around the clock to scrutinize user photos and block suspicious profiles. If you suspect a user is using someone else's photo, please report it to us for investigation.
Reporting a fake profile
Go to the user's profile, tap the three dots in the upper right corner, select "Report this person," choose "Other," and briefly describe your suspicions.
To enhance your experience and avoid misunderstandings:
- If you prefer not to receive Smart Messages, contact Support for feature deactivation.
- For a quicker chat initiation, use the "Search" section and filter by "online" status.
- If you identify the use of inappropriate photos, report them to our moderation team.
Your cooperation is vital in our ongoing efforts to protect you from fake profiles. We sincerely appreciate your assistance in this matter.
