If you discover that the city shown in your profile is incorrect, it's likely because the Kismia app doesn't have access to your location. In such cases, your location is determined using IP address settings, which can be somewhat inaccurate.
To check your location access permissions, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the "Settings" section on your iPhone.
- Find and select the "Privacy & Security" subsection.
- Tap on "Location Services."
- In the list of your apps, find Kismia and ensure that location access for the Kismia app is set to "Always." Additionally, make sure to enable the "Precise Location" option — this ensures that your profile displays the most accurate location, enhancing your ability to connect with people nearby.
Note: Location Services uses GPS and Bluetooth (where they're available), along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular towers to determine the approximate location of your device.
If you want to see people from a specific city (e.g., New York), go to the Search section and tap on the icon with sliders in the upper right corner — specify the city and see suitable people from there.
